A girl from a
beautiful island
I grew up on Sri Lanka a small, extraordinary island of golden light, ocean breeze, and a particular kind of beauty that never leaves you. It gave me something no city ever could: a deep sense of who I was, long before the world tried to define me.
I came to Dubai to build a career. What I built instead was a life that required everything I had every ounce of precision, every drop of composure, every layer of confidence I could summon on the days when the pressure was relentless.
Head of Finance.
The only woman in the room.
For years I worked as Head of Finance in some of the most demanding environments you can imagine. Boardrooms full of men. High-pressure negotiations. Projects with everything riding on the outcome and very little margin for anything less than extraordinary.
I thrived in every single one.
But there was something nobody saw in the spreadsheets. A ritual I kept to myself, something I did when the stakes were high and I needed to feel my most confident.

My colleagues eventually gave me a title beyond my job title.

I was proud of that.
The woman who
finally listened.
After two decades in finance, I listened to what my mind and body had been quietly telling me and I stopped. I stepped down to focus on my health and to finally create something I had wanted to build since I was a teenager.
Step by step, I put the pieces together while focusing on my mental and physical wellbeing. Subashini Heels is not just a brand built from passion. It was part of my healing journey. I would say Subashini Heels made me whole.
I had wanted to create a fashion line since I was a teenager. It took twenty years of boardrooms, balance sheets, and high-stakes wins to give me the courage and the proof that I was ready.
Why heels?
Because they were always part of me.
Heels have always been part of my personality, part of my physical self. I have always treated them as part of my body not just as shoes. My friends will tell you exactly how much I love my heels.
Subashini Heels was born from twenty years of proof that how you dress is not separate from how you perform, it is part of it. Feeling beautiful and powerful does not just complete a look.
